Jessica & Phillip - 50's Inspired Wedding

I met Jessica and Phillip in June this year. They asked me to photograph their wedding which would only be a few months away. Some couples love to book in advance, some at short notice. Whichever way your wedding happens - it doesn't label you as organised or unorganised - it just works out however it works out. The most important thing is to be yourself. This is what I want as your photographer.

Jessica and Phillip's wedding was a traditional church wedding at St Paul's Anglican Church in Riverstone. This has to be one of the smallest churches around - but don't be fooled - as the guests poured out after the ceremony, its Tardis-like qualities were revealed!

Afterwards, the newly married couple headed out to the Retreat at Wisemans Ferry for their post ceremony shoot and reception in the Riverbend Restaurant. They then danced the night away to 50's rockabilly tunes including some of my personal favourites from The Living End. Music does define the night to a degree - so don't take this decision lightly by throwing on a pre made spotify wedding playlist! Its another great opportunity to showcase yourselves as a unique couple.

Daniel –

Thank you for your amazing contribution to our special day. All the photos have turned out better than we could have imagined. You managed to capture all the special moments of the day and then some! We have so many beautiful memories of the day and it is fabulous to be able to see them all in your photographs.

You have been a pleasure to deal all the way along and have delivered above and beyond our expectations.

Honestly we could not have been happier with the service you provided. We would recommend you to anyone who wants amazing photos of their special day!

A big thank you must also go to your beautiful wife Jen for carrying around your props and making sure all the bridesmaids were hydrated with champagne during the wedding photos!

It was a day we will never forget!

Daniel has become our family photographer. It all started when we booked him for our wedding. Since then he has photographed a big family shoot for my nans birthday, my sisters wedding and now he has given us more precious memories of our baby boy.

After our wedding photos we didn't think Daniel could get any better, but every time he does something for our family his work and photos get more amazing.

Our Harrison was not having the best day Daniel came to shoot, but when we saw the photos you wouldn't have known. He captured some beautiful natural moments of soothing from my husband and I as well as being very patient waiting for Harrison to be ready for his posed photos.

Thank you once again Daniel for being so patient, professional and providing us with beautiful keepsakes.

Thank you again, until next time :) !

Retreat at Wisemans Open Day

The Retreat at Wisemans is my favourite place to shoot weddings, hands down. Kath and her crew always go out of their way to make sure their couples are looked after. Oh and did I mention the stunning location?! The sun goes down over the Hawkesbury River, making your photographs look sensational. Having your wedding day in one location is great as it takes a lot of the stress away moving from venue to venue, allowing you more time to celebrate!

On October 4th, The Retreat are holding an open day showcasing their venue as well as their preferred suppliers (one of those being me!). If you haven't chosen a venue yet, and are after something super-relaxed or country in vibe, I would highly recommend coming along. I always have a special deal on these days as well, so come out and say hi!
